Post-match statistic: Group B second round


2-1 result in last night match shed some hope for Republic Czech to advance to the next round, while with 1 point in the bag and last game against Russia, Greece is in the danger zone. Poland and Russia shared points with a goal to each team. The co-host need a win in their last match to continue their EURO journey. 

Let's take a look at the post match statistic of this two matches. 

1. Greece vs Republic Czech 

Football fans were hoping for an intense match last night, however everything was over after 6 minutes into the game. 



Republic decided the game at minutes 3 and 6 with two goals. Greece shortened the gap at 53 minutes after a mistake by Peter Cech. 

Greece had better ball possession, 54%, however they only had total of 4 goal attempts and 2 of which were on target. Meanwhile, Czech had 8 goals attempt, and out of only 3 shots on target, 2 were goals. There were total of 6 yellow cards equally shared by two teams, which was why there were total of 26 free kicks for Greece and 21 for Republic Czech. 

2. Poland vs Russia

It was expected to see another win for Russia, however co-host Poland, with the support of home fans, proved that they are not out from the run just yet. A draw between Poland and Russia last night made the competition at group A more intense.


Russia was the first team to score at 37 minutes by Alan Dzegoev. The equalizer for co-host came at 57 minutes by Jakub Blaszykowski to secure the 1-1 draw for both team. 

Poland was the team with better ball possession and other statistic. They had 14 goal attempts compared to Russia's 7. Poland's number of free kicks, shots on target and off target, were also better. 

The highlight of tonight will be the match between Germany and Netherlands. The Flying Dutchman surely wants a win badly, after defeated by Denmark in the first match.
